Lodge of Unity No. 567 Spreads Festive Cheer and Raises £1,000 for Molly Olly’s Wishes

Family, friends, and members of the Lodge of Unity No. 567 gathered at Alderson House in Warwick for their annual Christmas dinner following the lodge’s regular December meeting. Guests enjoyed a delicious traditional three-course turkey meal before joining in a lively session of carol singing led by David Fry, with festive accompaniment from the Royal Spa Brass Band. The evening concluded with the lodge’s much-loved tradition of performing their spirited rendition of The Twelve Days of Christmas.

Throughout the night, an impressive £600 was raised for Molly Olly’s Wishes, a Warwick-based charity dedicated to supporting children with life-threatening illnesses and their families. The charity provides gifts, therapeutic toys, books, and emotional support both locally and in hospitals across the UK.

Instead of sending Christmas cards, members chose to give the equivalent amount directly to the charity, raising this years total to £1,000, ensuring their seasonal greetings made an even greater impact.

This latest contribution marks another milestone in the lodge’s ongoing commitment to the charity, bringing the total raised over the past four years to an impressive £3,000. Members of the Lodge of Unity aim to supported local causes that make a real difference and Molly Olly’s Wishes remains especially close to their hearts. Their continued fundraising efforts help the charity provide emotional support, grant wishes, and supply therapeutic items for children facing incredibly challenging circumstances.

Expressing his gratitude, Jon Thorne, Worshipful Master of the Lodge of Unity, said:
“This has been one of the best nights of the year for our Lodge.”
