A Century of Faith, Hope – and Full House at Yenton
The Lodge of Faith and Hope No. 4772, consecrated on 17th November 1925, celebrated its centenary meeting on 25th November 2025 with magnificent support. Over 90 brethren were present in the Yenton rooms with 80 dining afterwards. We were delighted to welcome the entire Warwickshire executive team: The Provincial Grand Master accompanied by his deputy and all four assistants together with both wardens and around 30 acting officers.
John Hayward and the Worshipful Master were proud to receive Philip Hall, The head of Freemasonry in Warwickshire, who presided over the ceremony of delivering the centenary warrant and all that accompanies such an event. John Hayward had been elected by the Lodge members to take the Worshipful Masters chair for the centenary year.
Responding to his toast, the Worshipful Master stated that the Lodge had thoroughly enjoyed its centenary year, and that it was now up to the younger members to carry the Lodge forward into its next century. The Lodge has a good number of younger brethren and will be relying on them, together with new members who will be joining in 2026.
Gifts were presented to all attending, along with flower arrangements for those who had made special contributions to the evening and the centenary year. The Worshipful Master made particular mention of Dave Whitehead, who had managed all arrangements for attendees at what was the largest meeting the Lodge has held for many years. Also receiving special mention was Rob Burns, the Deputy Provincial Director of Ceremonies, who rehearsed the proceedings well in advance and took charge of the entire evening.
Finally, the Worshipful Master thanked the Provincial team for their attendance, having already bestowed Honorary Membership of the Lodge upon those who had taken special parts in both the centenary meeting itself and in the overall organisation of the occasion. It was a truly memorable event for the Lodge, its members, and all who attended.
