Grills, Chills & Great Company

Members of The Lodge of Unity No. 567 and Guy’s Lodge No. 395, together with their families and friends, enjoyed a wonderful afternoon at their joint Summer BBQ on Sunday 5th July 2026 in the beautiful grounds of Victoria House, Leamington Spa.

With glorious sunshine and warm summer temperatures throughout the day, the gardens at Victoria House provided the perfect setting for a relaxed social gathering. A marquee offered welcome shade from the sun, allowing everyone to sit comfortably while enjoying good food, great company and plenty of conversation.

The highlight of the afternoon was undoubtedly the barbecue itself. Martin from Old School Sausages kept everyone well fed with an excellent selection of superb burgers and sausages.

While the adults caught up with friends and enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere, the younger visitors found plenty of entertainment of their own. The Victoria House basement became the setting for an energetic game of hide and seek, ensuring the children had just as memorable an afternoon as the adults.

Events such as these demonstrate that Freemasonry is about much more than meetings in the Lodge room. They provide an opportunity for members, partners, families and friends to spend time together in an informal setting, strengthening friendships and welcoming those who may be new to the Masonic family.

The day was not only about enjoying good food and friendship – it also raised an £429 which will be shared equally between the two Lodges, with each receiving £214.50 to support their respective nominated charities, adding another positive outcome to an already memorable occasion.
