Join Alchemy Lodge and become part of our future
by Iain Gemmell
Alchemy Lodge, meeting at Yenton Assembly Rooms in Birmingham, has served as a proud and active Warwickshire Lodge for over a century.
Consecrated in 1919, Alchemy Lodge celebrated its centenary meeting in November 2019 marking 100 years of fellowship, tradition, and masonic values.
Our current Worshipful Master is notably the first since 2012 without previously being a past master, a sign of renewal and fresh energy within our ranks.
As with many Lodges we face a challenge: several of our younger brethren find it difficult to attend regularly, for a variety of reasons including work, family, and other commitments. As a result many of our regular attendees tend to be older, long-serving past masters, including myself at 72.
This presents a real concern for the future continuity and vitality of the Lodge. However, and this is where opportunity lies, we believe that by welcoming joining members we can rejuvenate our membership, bring in new energy, and ensure Alchemy Lodge continues to thrive.
Why You Should Consider Joining Us
If you are a Mason who values traditional Craft Freemasonry and who may have drifted away from regular attendance of your current Lodge, but still cherish fellowship, ritual, and values, then Alchemy Lodge may be exactly the Lodge you are looking for. Joining us offers a friendly, supportive Lodge with a long and respected history, a chance to contribute actively to ceremonies, mentoring, and Lodge life and fellowship with a diverse group: experienced past masters, master masons, and newer brethren
We hold meetings on the first Wednesday in February, April, October and November.
An Invitation to You
If you are currently a brother seeking a Lodge with a warm welcome, meaningful tradition, and a future-oriented mindset we invite you to consider Alchemy Lodge. Your experience, enthusiasm, and presence could help shape the next 100 years of our Lodge’s history.
