New Rulers Appointed and Invested
Warwickshire Installed Masters Lodge saw a very special meeting on Friday 28th November.
David Butcher, who is the current Worshipful Master of the Lodge, stood down as Deputy Provincial Grand Master.
The head of Freemasonry in Warwickshire, Philip Hall, thanked David for his many years of dedication and service to Freemasonry in Warwickshire, in particular for the combining of the two charities that now form the Warwickshire Freemasons Charitable Foundation.
In his place, David Shakeshaft was appointed and invested as the new Deputy Provincial Grand Master.
Matthew Perkins was then appointed and invested as an Assistant Provincial Grand Master.
Dennis Freshwater then presented a short talk entitled ‘From Bastion and Basrah to Fisher House’. He talked about his experience as an army doctor in various war zones, the need for Fisher House, and how it supports the families of those needing medical treatment while serving in the UK Armed Forces.
The Lodge meeting raised £800.00 to support the Coventry Freemasons pantomime, a festive event that brings Christmas cheer to over 500 children with special educational needs and disabilities and their carers.
