Peter Johnston 50 Years in Freemasonry

by Matt Perkins

One of the genuine pleasures of being an APGM is the ability to recognise long service for brethren after 50 years in the craft. Learning more about our brothers and their lives is always fascinating and never ceases to impress and amaze.
This morning was no exception and I had the pleasure of attending Michael Price Lodge to present a certificate to WBro Peter Johnston. Peter has been a great influence on me, and looked after me at meridian lodge when I was a fellow craft. So to be able to present him with his certificate was very special indeed.
The meeting was made even more special by the presence of Peter’s son, Rupert who lives in Dubai and hasn’t attended a meeting in 20 years due to living abroad.
To add the icing on the cake, RW Bro Michael Price himself was in the chair for the meeting.
An excellent morning and thank you to all who attended and supported.
