Over the past few years, a number of Brethren from different Masonic orders have expressed a genuine interest in visiting a Gurdwara and learning and understanding more about the Sikh religion and faith.
With that in mind, Warwickshire Freemason Herbie Jhita has arranged a visit to the Leamington Spa Gurdwara on the 17th April 2026 for Brethren and their ladies.
The visit will begin at 10:00am, and we would ask everyone to arrive by 9:45am so we can start promptly. The tour will conclude around 12:30pm, and a vegetarian lunch (langar) will be served during the visit, offering everyone the opportunity to experience this important part of the Sikh tradition.
The provisional itinerary is as follows:
- Visitor protocols (head coverings will be provided; removal of footwear required, ladies may want to bring their own scarfs to cover their heads) (NO HATS)
- Guided tour of the Gurdwara, including an introduction to the Sikh religion and faith.
- Q&A session.
- Tour of the kitchen.
- Langar.
- Brochure handout.
